My solo que went 5-5 and I was placed in Bronze 4. I was Bronze III last season. Anyway, my first two games I averaged 20-25 LP per game. Climbed to 100 LP and played provisionals.
On the right side of the screen, it said Earn 100 points and you're eligible for a promotion. If i win the promotion it said it would put me in Bronze 2. Anyway, I win 2/3 and get promoted to Bronze III. Anyone know why that is?
Roaranor1 votesYou were promoted to Bronze 3 rather than Bronze 2 because, while you did win your promo's, you lost your streak and/or relatively high mmr in the process which was the intial key factor in determining that you should skip a division.
Had you continued your winning streak, and went 3-0 in your promotionals, you would have placed Bronze 2.
This is based on my observations thus far, and as such, could be wrong.
Sir ArmaMalum1 votes^this, and if you did not play ranked much during the re-season your ranked MMR probably decayed, putting you against lower than Bronze III opponents, meaning even if you win you wouldn't get too much farther.
