Anybody notice a little skew in the ranked 5's match making system?

So recently I have started a team with a few of my buddies and we have been doing really well. We are all decent players and can hold our own in lane and it has been really fun. The thing that I have noticed though is that we will go into a game and be facing a team of diamond I players... Now that would probably not be a big deal if not for the fact that our team ranges from bronze to gold. With the way that the match making system randomly matches you up against low leveled teams when you are in your seeding rounds (Each of the teams has been new and seeding) these high level high skill players end up playing against bronze players. To me that seems a little unfair... I don't know how riot would change it, maybe by taking the average mmr or rank of the team and matching them up against other team of similar standings instead of just matching up seeding teams against any team in que that is under gold lvl. I just feel that something needs to be done about the Match Making System because as funny as it is, it is just frustrating going into a game and knowing that unless the enemy is completely trolling you have absolutely no chance of winning.
