So Riot here's a genius idea -

How about you put a ready check in after everyone has chosen their champions in order to make sure that everyone is present for the game.

I know it probably doesn't happen that often in higher tiers, but in Bronze it really is a pain in the ass when someone doesn't show up for a game. Not to mention it will help with some of the disconnect issues by avoiding the game without a penalty for your players.

I'm 90% positive someone has probably already suggested this and it wasn't implemented, but figured I'd throw it out there.

PS: Get your shit together, this games getting really old with all of the issues you have between servers and community toxicity.

And then you just have trolls sit there in the lobby and never press the ready button. There are time limits on banning, selecting, and trading for a reason. People want to play, not sit in a lobby. You can't fix stupid, and just leaving your computer unattended during champ select is stupid.

PS: Grow up and stop acting like a pretentious dick.

A ready check initiated after the last champion is picked with a timer of 10-15 seconds wouldn't make the game that much longer of a wait, hell I've waited 3 minutes at the loading screen while someone loaded into the game.

Here let me elaborate on my suggestion since my obviously pretentious answer to a commonly occurring problem seems to have caused you some distress.

Problem - People afking a game after picking their champion. This allows the game to start and there to be a 4v5 match-up, which are at times winnable, but still this will result in an unfair advantage to the team with 5 champions giving them more control of the map, pressure to apply to lanes, and all in all just an unbalanced matchup.

Solution - Ready check after the final champion is chosen to insure that everyone is still in the lobby right before the game begins to load.

Result - More balanced match-ups with a less likely chance of getting into game and realizing that your jungler/toplane/midlane/whoever are not present. Penalties applied to the person who is not present for the ready check, allowing your player base to not have to be penalized for dodging a game where they will be at a significant disadvantage, and a happier community.

Apparently 15 more seconds after champions are locked is too much to ask, obviously Mackle will die if he has to wait for 15 more seconds, so we should probably not add in this feature to make everyone else a bit happier and more sure of their team. Sorry about that Mackle.

Your "solution" doesn't resolve anything. If they're just going to AFK after picking a champion, they'll just AFK after checking the ready button. And how is treating not selecting ready as a dodge anything different from just someone dodging? This feature doesn't add or resolve anything, this isn't a raid dungeon, this isn't a party queue, people are going to AFK regardless of this feature or not. Plus you saying this makes more balanced match-ups is just ridiculous, the matchmaking already happens before this feature would occur so it doesn't change anything related to that.

My problem is that this doesn't solve anything, and implementing a faulty solution that doesn't solve the problem is worse than not implementing anything. And your bitch attitude at the end towards Riot doesn't help your case when if you'd been paying attention to any of the information about the issues going on you'd know that they have been working on this for quite some time and that it's a lengthy process that you can't just immediately solve. That isn't how server issues and online gaming infrastructure work.

It's putting a redundancy check in after champions are selected in order to make sure that everyone IS still there. Which does solve the problem that I just stated I am having, and I am sure many others as well. How do you not see that?

I understand that people will afk regardless, but this feature will insure that when the loading screen popped up, everyone was ready and present for the game.

Here let me go on and explain the balanced matchups part of my reply: 4v5 unbalanced 5v5 more balanced. Get it now? I can try to break it down further but I dont really know if I can explain it in simpler terms.

I realize that they are working on it, and it takes time, and it's not their fault, and they're not expanding their bandwidth in order to make it a race with the people who are currently causing the issues etc etc etc. It still doesn't make it any less annoying or stop the issues from occurring.

Really good comeback right there by the way saying I have a bitch attitude. Really original and I didn't see it coming. Wow. Got me stumped now.

You're solution is rubbish and won't solve anything. It's really that simple. If you want to tout your idea as effective and pretend, go right on ahead, but it isn't and won't be.

Telling Riot to "get their shit together" is acting like a little bitch. How do you not see that?

You're right it's a little bitchy, but nonetheless true.

They need to fix their shit, but I told them to get their shit together, use quotes correctly please.

I fixed it, sorry about the misquote.

Anyways, that's the reason I responded the way I did. Because I do believe that Riot needs to look into a way to effectively resolve issues like those type of matches have, but I truly don't believe that your solution would help, it's not like people just randomly forget their in champ select, if they AFK from the start of game then they did it on purpose or they failed out in the loading screen. Not sure if you've ever had it happen but if you actually lag in champ select it will not load the game it'll send everyone back and treat it as if the person who lagged dodged. At least in all of my experience that is what has happened, guess it could be situational?
