I don't play dota, but if you're talking like a built in skype, I totally agree. That'd be really convenient. I wonder if a reason they haven't already implemented one is because it may cause lag issues. But I don't know the league client system well enough to say.

People that want to talk to their teams use one of the many programs readily available for free. It'd be nice, but Seltrone's video link is a little too accurate. It'd be horrible once implemented and it wouldn't be the idea, but the people that ruin it.

you can link it to people in champ select... just like things like lolnexus it starts up when you enter the game.... and it lets you join right into a voice chat with people in your game :D

Voice chat would be a really good feature in this game as other third parties software requires too much bandwidth as well :(

Personally from my experience in any game with built in voice chat it is not abused as much as you would think. Or I just happen to be incredibly lucky. Believe me when I say that people will you this to further the experience not destroy it. I play Planetside 2 at the moment home to kids blaring music in the warp gates 24/7. But when you are out on the field shoot at people and have a common objective people really seem to actually use it. To me it would be an invaluable piece of technology for team coordination. And about the PlayerPOV video I believe Cody said it himself he thinks it would do more good than harm.
