Snowballing And Game Length

I know this has been talked about a lot, but I feel like putting my thoughts out there.

I feel like games take way to long to finish. Especially in low silver/bronze where I am currently placed, a lot of winning games are thrown. Now there are many reasons for this including skill level, I'm sure diamond players can finish out a game faster than high bronze/low silver players. But thats besides the point.

I FEEL like the games are going on forever. Even the games that last 25 minutes really feel like long games. There are lots of teamfights, and if you lose one you can always (before the 30 minute mark) come back and win the game if you do well enough. A lot of the game seems to be pushing lanes back and forth, without much consequence.

Snowballing has almost disappeared in league. This is a big problem because a lot of champions rely on snowballing which leads to ending the game early. Champions like riven and akali snowball so well in the early game, but if you can't finish it off then those champions fall off late game.

I feel like a big part of the problem is the changes that happened to inhibitors, and the minions when inhibitors are destroyed. Taking a whole minute off of the respawn time really changed things. Teams are able to defend the lane with the downed inhibitor while also pushing one other lane. The minion changes to the other lanes also made a big difference in the inability to snowball.

One change I think would help a ton is this: when an inhibitor is destroyed, the team that destroyed it has instead of spawning every 3 waves the cannon minions spawn once every two waves. The super minions spawn in the destroyed inhibitor lane as they do now. The inhibitors would still respawn after 4 minutes, but the overall pressure on the losing team would be greater, and the winning team can be more focused on making a final push down mid lane.

TL;DR snowballing doesn't work, when inhib is down have enemy lanes (not the super minion lane) spawn cannons ever other wave instead of every third wave.

The exact reason you want to make these changes is the exact reason Riot made it this way in the first place. They want to give the losing team a better chance at coming back--or on the flipside, force the winning team to play harder in order to secure that victory.
