First time w/ dual monitors, having issues

So having some problems that I hope y'all may be able to help me with..

I'm using my laptop as my primary and an additional monitor as the secondary, and I've worked through setting them up as such. And yet, for some reason the secondary monitor is getting all the focus. It not only plays league on it (instead of my laptop) regardless of which screen I have the client on, but it also has my battery/wifi/notification settings on the bottom right corner of the main screen as well as all my on-screen apps too. I need access to those whilst still in a game on the other monitor. I've tried swapping the primary/secondary options back and forth but nothing changes aside from which direction I move my mouse to get to the other screen. EDIT: I checked my NVIDIA settings and my 2nd monitor isn't recognized. Yet somehow It is using my other monitor when I identify primary/secondary THROUGH Nvidia, in which both monitors say monitor 1.

My second issue is that when I'm in a game and I alt tab to gain access to the other monitor, league fps drops. Even if nothing else is running. Why is that, and how can I fix it?

For the first issue, I think your computer is reading the wrong monitor as "monitor 1". When you go into your settings (I assume you're on Windows) there should be an "Identify" button. This shows the number that each screen correlates to on the screen. I don't exactly know how to fix this, but that is most likely the issue. If it isn't, then you've lost me.

As for the second issue, this is normal. When you alt+tab out, League is no longer the primary window, so the general performance drops so it doesn't drain too many resources.

Hope this helped [slayer-jinx-wink]
