Essence in Mastery levels

I personally don't think we should have to have any essence to upgrade our champ, however seeming that it will still probably stay like that, I was wondering if Riot could bring the lvl 6 essence back down to 300 rather than 500, this still pry won't change anything but it was worth a try.
