The barrels of toxic acid that spew from this game

This is more of a thought collection that I've accumulated over my few years of playing league. By far and I have no fucking clue as to what it is but moba's spawn the most toxic people the world has to offer. I have no clue why or how but its just a fact of the interwebs that this is sadly the case. I'll openly admit that I have never ranked in league and its for one extremely sad reason. The community. Never before in the 19 years I've been playing video games, that I have been insulted, bashed against, made fun of, and teased, more then League of Legends. Which is a shame because I've invested a lot of time and money into the game. I'd love to test my metal against my fellow players but 9/10 games people want to blame others for losing their games or their own short comings. The higher tier players have commonly said that the thing that will get you into higher ELO and better games is attitude. Attitude will help your teammates and yourself preform better if you're positive. this works for about 5 minutes then shit hits the fan and it goes out the window and people are back to cursing typing in all caps LOL'ing and feeding and its a frustrating mess. I played a game about half an hour ago and it showed me what I hate about this game. LEAGUE SUCKS IF YOU DON'T PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!!! Its just the sad honest truth. At this point riot has even made events to make playing with your friends even more rewarding with IP bonuses. I'd love it if I could just come on work with random people on the internet to achieve a common goal, Victory! But alas that isn't the case. People aren't afraid to say anything on the internet because we're all behind screens, all the hate, insults, and racial slurs will continue to go on as long as this game exists. I wish that people would accept help from other players, that they would listen, and be coachable to make the game more enjoyable. I realize this just kind of a rant but its nice to wish once and a while no? Ezreal signing out

How do you figure? Find me a list of "most toxic gaming communities" where League of Legends isn't number fucking one. I'll buy you dinner.

Depends on the experience of each user. For me the most toxic are by far between Call of Duty and Counter Strike. Sure, go into a game of league you might get one person that cussing or says "Why not mia? No ___, report!! Etc.. Still better than loading into a game where the first sentence heard is "fuck you... etc.

I've been playing competitive counter-strike for roughly 10 years. I agree that their community has gotten worse, but it doesn't even come close to the things i see in 80% of LoL matches (regardless if normals or ranked).

CoD is a totally casual game. I cant take it seriously at all, because i cant take a shooter seriously when you mix joysticks, auto-aim, and a competitive setting. So maybe ive just completely tuned out any opinion anyone has ever given in CoD when i played it.

I'd honestly love to fully agree with you, as you make a good point about CS:GO being the counter-strike cancer, but i've seen more toxicity in 3 months of league than ive seen in 10 years of counter-strike.

And thats half my lifetime worth of accumulated data right there :D

Eh, our experiences might be different on a different plane. I was a FPS player started with Unreal Tournament and the Original COD. Until I got banned twice and moved on because people got mad about racked up 300 kills in 10 minutes. Then it wasn't to bad. Made my way into Groups and servers of CS and play there dabbled in the tournaments but just had fun. Now I have a hard time really jumping into any of those games without noticing the massive amount of toxicity.

Who knows maybe its nostalgia or my age... But I see more toxicity in a game of COD than here in league.

Well we can agree that our favorite online games are similar, and plagued with the next-gen creatures some people gave birth to that sorta resemble human beings.
