To Make Fiddlesticks Viable Mid

Since the mage update is coming, how about helping out his mid game. His E is unreliable. His early drain is expensive, weak and easily punishable, both of these issues making his laning/wave clear horrendous. Few things could make this better.

  1. Make his drain execute minions below a certain point (not neutral monsters). //draining a minion and not getting the last hit is infuriating
  2. Make his drain a 'mana-per-tick' model, (say 4-5 mana per quarter-second tick level one, same cooldown) //draining minions early is massively mana inefficient, this would help out tremendously when executing said minions
  3. Increase the damage of dark wind to 200% vs. minions on the first hit and scale it back to 100% or 125% for additional hits. //provides more consistently in controlling waves
  4. If nothing else, increase his auto-attack base damage.

None of these changes particularly affect his already strong jungle game, but alone any one of these would make a significant impact laning mid.

I feel like his unreliability keeps him from being strong in lane, this is coming from a person who loves playing fiddle. his w should just be redone, despite being his strongest basic ability it's got a pathetic tether range and is only efficient after fearing someone.
