To Riot, With Love

TL:DR: I love League of Legends, but I am beginning to dread reworks because they are often less fun than the originals!

Dear Riot,

I love League of Legends. I am but a humble, not particularly skilled, ordinary player. I don't play ranked, but this great game of yours has held my interest for several years. I love LoL and I love rito!

However, lately I've been feeling a bit like an abused spouse, for two good reasons: sooooo many nerfs and soooo many reworks that I would just call "unfun." Be a casual guy (and probably reasonably representative of the majority of your player base) I like to play a variety of champs. I don't have a main. Being not that skilled, I probably tend to settle on those that have some cheap mechanics / are easy to play / are overpowered.

What happened to poor Veiger recently prompted me to air my concerns to you out of love of your great game. Plain and simple: I used to find him fun and now I don't. With the exception of the Sion and Yi reworks, I am beginning to dread your reworks and patch days because most of the reworks simply don't seem as fun as the originals to me! Veiger, Tristana, Rengar, Kassadin, Gragas, Skarner, and Cassiopia have all been reworked and I find them all to be less fun than before. I also play against them all less and less because people aren't picking them!

So please, when doing these reworks, think of poor little unskilled me. Not every champ has to have a skillshot. Reworks should be fun and I should look forward to them. I'm getting to the point where I am afraid to buy skins for the champs I like because I'm worried they will become unplayable to poorly skilled little old me in the future :(
