Riot, PLEASE put an end to this nonsense....
I'm really getting tired of players showing up to games and then going AFK because they didn't get their role or aren't happy with their lane matchup.
I've carried myself to my promos to try to advance out of this Bronze hell I've been caught in for the last couple of months, where I will climb as high as my promos to get into Bronze 1, and then catch a string of this nonsense and drop to Bronze 4 or Bronze 5. Currently, I'm in my promos to climb back into Bronze 4.
I just had a player choose Swain mid lane. He chose Swain in champ select, and then asked what role he was going to be. We told him mid, so he took the appropriate summoners.
When he got to lane, he claimed that the enemy Teemo was going to be top, and he wanted to be top. When my Yasuo told him "no, you're mid," he ran back to mid until minions spawned, then ran back to the fountain claiming "I'm going to play WoW." (Teemo was mid by the way)
He THEN proceed to argue with the entire team for the first 10-12 minutes, saying "I won't be disrespected like this" (despite us asking him for the first 5 minutes to go to lane) before finally going to lane (with the tower under 20%). Once the tower went down, he complained that we wouldn't help him (despite Yasuo and myself as the jungler tag-teaming to cover 2 lanes while he argued with everyone).
There seriously needs to be some major punishment for this type of player, as well as some compensation for the players that have to deal with it. There should be some sort of option to allow the game to be restarted and the offending player be kicked and dropped to a lower priority queue (similar to LeaverBuster) at the very least.
Inb4 "You're Bronze, you should be able to carry yourself out of Bronze if you deserve to be higher" Yes. I understand that. I can normally carry a 5v5 game from any role as long as the other 4 know anything that resembles any sort of concept of League of Legends. But when you get an immediate 4v5 from the get go and you lose all jungle pressure because your jungler has to cover a lane of someone like this, the game gets a lot easier for the other team.
