Possibility of getting old seasons back?

So, I've always had this thought of what season one onwards was like, as I started playing league at the beginning of season 4 I never really got the chance to see anything. I always had this idea of a separate client JUST for the old season! It would be great just to have some fun games with friends from seasons never been played before or just remember back in the day. My idea is that you can create custom games with friends and pick which season you wanted to play. (Eg - season 1) Just like league now where it has patches, so could the old 'seasons' where you can go back to patches such as 4.20 (kappa) This is just a little thought in my head. I've watched so many old videos from the old league of legends and just wish to be able to play back then! So please riot, can this possibly be a thing? Now we have rotating game modes could this be another way to make league more fun?

I voted yes on this, but it's almost certainly impossible from a work vs benefit standpoint. It will hurt player experience across the board in the long run since it's splitting the already struggling queues even more, and will require a lot of work on riot's part. So basically riot would be doing a lot of work to make the game worse. In theory it would be possible to build a clone of it (like those private vanilla WoW servers) but riot would almost certainly stop that sort of thing in it's tracks.

Splitting the playerbase? Riot won't even give us soloqueue because it would split the playerbase, and you're basically asking for like 30 different game modes. Sorry mate but bad idea. Besides, it wouldn't be the same since everyone would just play meta anyways. The difference between season 1 and season 6 is that people in season 6 know how to play league of legends. It wouldn't be any different, people would only play that 1 patch where their main was stupid OP, and queuetimes would go through the roof.

Still hold season 2 as the best but I was new and knew nothing.

The best patch when I actually felt like I knew a fair ammount about what I was doing was 4.10

Remember when, as support (because last pick was always support), if you didn't buy 50 wards, you are reported.

the file download would be quite big. if they do it it would have to be just one patch of choice at a time. by popular vote. say most people want to relive season 4. in game select would be listed as relive classic season
