Riot, can you please learn to balance the game like you used to?

I have been playing this game since late S1 preseason S2. The changes and feel of the game have drastically changed over that length of time and I can honestly say the game is worse now then it was in the earlier seasons. First off, I don't know exactly the reason for it but, it seems that Riot only wants 25%-30% of their roster to be viable for a given season and when it comes time for the LCS finals, they start nerfing and buffing to cut that down to about 20 champs. Why have the extended roster that they do when all the champions aren't viable all the time? It is very sad some of the older champions or even some of the newer ones seem to have either been nerfed into the ground, or because of mastery/item changes, are left in a state makes them utterly useless. I agree with the kit reworks to make champions relevant but those are so few and far between. I know Riot needs to make money but I would love to see a season or two where instead of pumping out new champions or skins, they actually take the time to make all of their champions viable.

Let's start with vision.... Riot took away Oracle's Elixir which was a very useful item if the other team has a Evelynn Teemo Shaco Rengar Khazix or other form of stealth. They want to focus on everyone warding great fine, but the ability to clear them also needs to be in effect. That sweeper and the upgraded one are fine but I feel they should last longer or if you clear a ward, the cooldown goes down X percent. Oracle's never should have been removed. They have made stealth ridiculous to play against and in the case of Rengar, as soon as you see that ! on your head, you don't have time to react to it. He goes in on a squishy and they are instantly deleted. Not to mention he doesn't lose stacks anymore on death. GG Riot. Next they aren't going to allow you to lose stacks on item 3041 .

The hitboxes on this game are seriously broke as hell on some champions. Case in point, Blitzcrank , the actual hitbox is longer and wider than the animation and cast indicator. Not to mention there isn't any sort of wind up on it. Fine, since beginning league, I have known you need to keep the minions between you and Blitzcrank. In the case of him just running you down in lane, the juke potential just is not there unless they simply miss. Otherwise you need a dash, flash, or other gap closer to get away from it. Another OP hitbox has to be the cast indication in general. It seems that depending on the perspective, top or bottom facing map, when you are trying to cast a homing spell, despite the target being inside the cast radius, the spell/ability never goes off, it won't allow it to be cast. So the visiual indication and actual indications do not match at all. Now I know lag/FPS plays a role in this slightly but it has been busted since S3 when Riot started making all this drastic changes to the game.

Lastly..... the turrets... what the hell is going on with the turret roulette. The damage varies and when there is a group under the turret, it varies who it hits as well. So far it seems for the most part, the turrets hit like a wet noodle. Successive shots do next to nothing. You can have an ADC/marksmen walk under a turret, take 3 hits and walk away with half HP. It is lame. They are supposed to prohibit outright diving, not encourage it.

They need to make up their mind. Either go DOTA and make everything equally OP it is balanced so every champion is viable or nerf everything into the ground and make it more about itemization. This half and half bit that has been going on for the last 4 years really blows. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground at all. I would rather see core mechanics and gameplay balanced out rather than this flavor of the season crap we get every few months.

They made so many more champions with complicated mechanics and numbers that they can't manage. Add in some attempts to rework old champions with outdated kits, new masteries, etc. and you've got an even bigger mess.

That's exactly the problem I am alluding to. They should rein in content creation all together and work with what they have. There are more minor bugs and nuances happening now then when the game first came out. When that gets ironed out then sure go on making content.

Just leave the masteries and runes alone. Leave the items as they are alone. Work on just basic mechanics like targeting, hitbox detection, animations, timers, etc. With all the complexity added with some of the new champions and it not exactly fitting to the older champions it is really hard to gauge some teamwork mechanics like the stacking CC they added. They should either drag the old champions up to speed to meet the newer champions, not make new champions, or without necessary nerfing them, rework the new champs to fit around the older ones that came before. What I am seeing now at least from my perspective is that older champions such as Kat, Galio, Maokai, Fiddle, Cassiopeia are outclassed and just never played because they aren't fitting into the flavor of the month.

I know they want to be inventive and they want to keep it fresh but I feel you can't just segregate entire parts of a roster to satisfy the needs of the 5% of players (Pros, Master, Challenger). Their sticky post even goes on to mention they base balancing off the pro play well.... then what about the other 95% of us that don't have the freedom or resources to sink 10-14 hours a day if not more into this game?

The pro game will always be the pro game, they are going to find the best ways and methods for doing things. Of course there are advanced tactics, mechanics, and synergies that are developed when the same groups at high skill level play all the time together. But to cater the entirety of the game to that.... I don't agree with it at all.
