Some Shen Ideas I'd love to go through.

This is necessarily a rework idea for Shen that I would personally like to see happen.

Passive: Ki Strike: Every few seconds, Shen's next basic attack will deal bonus magic damage. (Same scaling) Ki Strike also effects Shen's non-ultimate abilities based on whether or not it is available. I'll get to that later. Basic attacks reduce this passive's cooldown by 1 second.(Cooldown is a few seconds larger than before)

Q: Vorpal Blade: Shens tosses a blade in the direction of his cursor (now a skillshot), damaging and life tapping the first enemy hit (same life tap effects and all). However, if Ki Strike is available, Vorpal Blade will be able to target a specific enemy, locking onto them and dealing bonus magic damage. (Cooldowns and cost are unchanged)

W: Feint: Shen grants himself a beefy shield (now scales a little bit of bonus health instead of AP) for a few seconds. While it holds, your basic attack reduce Ki Strike's cooldown by an additional second. However if Ki Strike is available, Feint will instead grant a smaller shield (with smaller base health it can absorb and smaller scaling) to Shen and all nearby ally champions. If there are no ally champions around, the normal effect will go through and Ki Strike will not go on cooldown, while this ability will.

E: Shadow Dash: Shen dashes in a direction dealing small damage to enemy champions he comes in contact with and taunting them, while causing their basic attacks to deal reduced damage. However, if Ki Strike is available, then the damage will be increased, the taunt duration will be increased, and all taunted enemies will have their basic attacks deal even more reduced damage. Regardless if Ki Strike is up or not, Shen will recover energy for each champion hit.

R: Stand United: Passively, Shen grants increased armor and magic resists to allies nearby, which increases depending on the number of nearby allies. As for the active, Shen can target an ally with global range to grant them a beefy shield (base health it can absorb is reduced, but now scales a tad of bonus health instead of AP). After a few seconds, Shen teleports to the ally, gaining a stealth for a few seconds and instantly refreshing Ki Strike's cooldown.

This Rework seems intended to make shen a support. While I like him as a niche pick bot lane he has always been a tanky duelist who excels at 1v1's. Also prioritizing him as a support role diminishes the value of his ultimate as bot lane is the most likely to get ganked and therefore both useless to ult to and risky to leave undefended. So right there you've basically undermined both of his primary purposes. Additionally you nerf is split pushing potential by making him by sup items. Shen is in a good place right now. imo a buff to base move speed or giving his ult the ability to target and shield turrets( for half of what it does champions) would be enough to make him viable at all levels of play. I'd like to see the ult buff because then he could run ignite or something similar in lane.

I do like the suggestion that his W scale off of bonus hp rather than ap, but I think it would make his ult too powerful.

And yes I do main shen.
