The Flex Rank Reset

Hey so on 2016-11-14, Riot Game disabled Ranked Que. For some random reason. Today 2016-11-15 they re-opened rank, but reset the rankings, and asked summoners to play 1 game to determine their ranking.

Here is something I want to share.

I finished my 10 placements going 7-3 / 10. I got placed Gold 2. Pretty good for being a Gold 2-3 player. I was like sweet climbing on this would be decent. Ranked Reset comes in, asks me to play one game. Mentally, thinking meh i'd play it anyways. I play a ranked game. I lost (Garen Support doesn't work, someone needs to tell new level 30's about this) and got place Silver fucking 4.

Dear Riot,

Why do you hate anyone that is below Master/Challenger?

Edit: Riot Said that pre-season ranks will be taken account for Seasonal Ranks

That game put you where you should have placed. It's expected that people will drop 1-2 entire tiers with the reset that happened. There was an issue with the way rankings were being given out after placements before last night's patch, resulting in people not getting a ranking appropriate for their current MMR. Gold 2 to Silver 4 is a pretty typical sounding drop with a season reset.

i dont think rank matters i read somewhere that only mmr when season 7 starts.

Ikr, except I was moved from a lovely spot at Silver 2 to Bronze 1.... >_<

I think they may hate us a bit.

I went 7-3 and played alongside plats, placed into gold 4 prior to reset. Was gold 4 24lp prior to the 'fix'. Won that game, placed into silver 2.

That's the lowest I've ever placed since I first did ranked in season 2.

I don't want to know what I would have been if I had lost this placement match. Probably bronze 5 or some shit.

The fact that you lost also gets put into the factors of how it places you. If you had won then it may have placed you slightly higher but you lost. Drops after a reset are pretty normal, the fact is you are Gold 5 not Gold 2-3 like I you said and was placed Gold 2 at in the first place is what was off.

Hey, atleast you aren't a challenger who got placed into B5 after the reset. Or Master getting placed S3.

Getting placed in bronze/silver isn't bad because you will be getting like 30 lp a win. Or atleast I am.

there was a challenger player who went 10/0 and got bronze V because this bug.

Here is my thing, I was Gold 5 last season and got placed Silver 5 winning 4 games. I can live with that. BUT i have now climbed up to silver 3 playing against diamonds and plat and 1 challenger. Now im going to play this one MANDATORY game and probably be knocked back down to silver 5 or god forbid into bronze. That is unfair and a slap in my face for the games i have played and LP i have earned since my placements. Why am i going to have to do this all over again.

After the placement I went 2/8, and it was plant 1, it was pretty good. But after the one game from today, I won the game, and I went to gold 3???? Plant 1 to Plant 3!!!!! Why???????? what's about if i lost the game, should I go to silver or bronze??
