Lulu needs some Love!

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who thinks this, but in my opinion I think lulu is one of the least cared about supports in the game right now. She just seems to be shut out by other CC heavy supports, or even healing supports. Don't get me wrong, I love Lulu's current kit, but I feel like the least that could happen with her is some cooldown reduction, maybe some added duration's for shielding and whimsy'ing (English I think?) Maybe some extra mana regen seeing as how she is constantly unable to use abilities because of high mana costs. I mean really, I love Lulu, she's probably one of my favorite champs to play. But how many times in a day do you see Lulu compared to other supports. Ex: Sona, Leona, Morgana. I dont know, I would just really love to see Lulu become a major game changer!

Taric Outrageous. Sona I didn't get nerfed this patch, OH GOD IT'S WONDERFUL. Blitzcrank Beep boop, the only reason people play me is my Q.

Yes, Lulu is a bit underwhelming compared to Thresh, Orianna and Lissandra, but she hasn't completely disappeared from competitive play. She's far more viable than Sona who on the other hand is still sitting at a 0% win-rate and lower pick-rate. There's something in Lulu's kit that could do with a buff, but she's not near the top of the list of most pressing issues needing attention.

She is NOT a support, her mana costs and AP dependence make it impossible to operate at full potential on a support budget. She was exceedingly strong as a top laner during the era of the hyper carries because she could bully most toplaners off E+Q damage alone and then act as additional peel/damage for her hypercarry once teamfighting started. Then hypercarries got nerfed and Lulu got her fair share of nerfs too, that's why she's in her current state, she needs a few MANA buffs if you want to see her back as a support, or DAMAGE and SPEED buffs if you want her back as a laner.

I have the feeling that any buff to her will start this Zed situation example again.

The Zed situation: a champion that was top tier is nerfed to have an average/a little lower than average power level and stay there for a few months. Eventually the champions mains start complaining that they want to be OP again, so a continuous stream of "pls buff X" threads are created. Riot then does some small buffs to the champion, but because this champion's kit is overloaded they quickly force all other champions out of the lane. The champ will then be nerfed a few months later slowly but to a state then they ever were before the buffs.

Lulu was nerfed because she was spammed in top lane where she made it near-impossible for any melee champion to actually face her. Any buffs would probably re-establish this, and would eventually cause her to be nerfed to a worse state than before.

Lulu is one of the most annoying and oppressive champions to lane against, especially in solo lanes. Even with her stats now we're seeing her played mid in LCS as a counterpick to assassins. That's strong enough if you ask me.

Lulu is finally in a good spot right now (she isn't OP, but I have even seen her in pro games as mid AND support more than once within the past month), She doesn't need buffs.

I agree that Lulu is pretty underwhelming as a support right now. Not quite sure how they could buff her without making her into a top lane nightmare again, though. Maybe exclusively buffing her utility (move speed/shield) without touching her damage?

That's exactly what I was thinking. Her damage is decent, but her ability to support an adc is just not enough in my opinion.
