Champs For Lanes

Can someone recommend good champs for lanes that is a fighter, tank or assassin? I'm looking to buy a few champs but I only melee and I don't do jungle. I currently use Pantheon, though he is not a secondary tank, has work well for me in both top and bottom lanes. I can also try a ranged champ as long as they're not mage or support. Thanks in advance.
