Can you demote from splash LP loss
If I am 0 LP on my main role JG and play support and lose will the -3 lp that gets splashed demote me in jungle rank
would like to know

yes you can, i asked this for someone in another thread while in riot support. ive got chatlogs too if you'd like to see

Yes, you can. There's a reddit post about it.
yes you can demote which i feel kinda kills the system. If you play a ton of adc but your a garbo top and you spam top to get better adc is going to go down the gutter [zombie-brand-facepalm]
Yes, you can be demoted from "splash" LP. You can even be demoted an entire tier.
This is a really poor design decision. One can agree or disagree about the merits of splashing overall (I don't have a big problem with it), but getting stuck in an off role (or trying to level it up) and having your stronger role(s) suffer is asinine.
Given that you can't be promoted due to splash, and get even get INTO promos via splash, and that your LP is capped at 100, you shouldn't be demoted.
Yeah I just got demoted Silver 2 support 0LP to Silver 3 Support 75 LP by losing a game as mid.
So normally I lose 3 LP from splash, but now all of a sudden I lose 25 LP AND have to redo a promotion series for my main role (support)? Wow. That's 20x+ the normal amount of splash, considering I now have to win 3 games as support just to get my rank back. @_@
I guess playing off-roles is a terrible idea for me then. At least until I get better at csing. :/
EDIT: Well technically since I can get support 100% of the time, I guess i can just avoid off-role games if I'm at Support 0 LP.. :/
