Teemo should be reworked to a jungler.

As it stands, Teemos role in the game is as a top laner, albeit not a very viable one. His gameplay also really doesnt feel like it belongs both for his position and from a lore standpoint. I feel his kit should be centered around a jungler who focuses on guerrilla warfare who makes anyone afraid to step anywhere near his jungle or even their own. If i were to keep some elements to his kit it would be his stealth mechanic yet revamped to fit more with the rest of his kit, and keeping the shrooms, having them mark targets who hit them that make teemo want to prioritize them in a way.

As a Teemo main, please no. He can already be played there. All this would do is take the champion away from all of us who love to play him in lane for no inherent reason.

People already play him as jg though. Technically he can do any position, it's just top that is played the most. And I ask, If you rework him to make him jungle based, he wouldn't fair as well in other roles, right? One thing a lot of people can agree on is that Teemo is a champion who can go basically anywhere and do (fairly) well. To me, it feels like reworking him to be confined to one position wouldn't be a good Idea. But hey that's just me.

Teemo is already viable, the problem isn't the champion, it's the way people :

  1. Perceive Teemo (as being useless)
  2. Play Teemo (most people just plant shrooms and are useless)

Also people have a common misconception about Teemo's role; he's not meant to place shrooms and do nothing; you have a trap, you have an invisibility and you have dommages. Guess what, you can ambush a squishy and delete them ! Yes, Teemo is more of an ap assassin than a useless shroom planting thing.

I personnaly think Teemo is fine as he is.

No for two reasons:

  • Teemo is a top laner. Why the hell are you uprooting a bunch of mains and players? Just because you think it'd be cooler?

  • The idea of, "Your now not allowed in my jungle." sounds extremely cancerous, hard to play around, and doesn't seem like their would be much, if any, counterplay.

I personally think Riot should leave teemo alone for the most part, not just because I play him (lol) but also because he has a very unique play style that helps him stand out. He already gets used as jg, so any change to him that affects his ability to toplane would be very limiting

Sounds like pure cancer to play against. You do realize the reason Teemo never sees buffs is because his kit is inherently frustrating and dumb to face?

Teemo needs a full gameplay and lore rework. No more passive stealth, zero counterplay blind and shrooms forcing you to get sweeper. I'm not saying the champ is OP, but from a design perspective he's poorly thought out. Keeping his most frustrating aspects would be a huge mistake.

He's a pretty decent jungler right now actually. And quite fun. He's like a better Kindred in the capacity of dueling/range/mobility before Kindred's late game at least. Hope he continues to be so after the rune update.

Pigeonholing his kit to do a specific job like most of league's newer champions though would kill some of the magic though.

in order to properly shroom, you gotta leave lane, and therefore exp and cs. always feel bad doing it but it's what you should do to be effective

I mean the best thing you can do without harming teemo top lane(which is viable rn 51%,6% pick rate) is give blind double duration to minions and monsters. This would make his clear a bit healthier.

I have hundreds of games with Teemo, maybe into the thousands by now. He definitely needs a rework and literally any changes they make, whatever they choose, I will welcome.

I think he could make an interesting support champion.

Give him an ammo count like Jhin and Graves, so that there will be no incentive to build damage or attack speed.
Instead of massive damage, his shrooms provide a modest slow and a big damage reduction. His E can be a stacking slow based on his movespeed. His Q can still work as is but should deal way less damage, cost more mana, and last longer.
His W, I don't know. They don't pay me to think of everything for them.

They could keep him as is but actually make his W useful.

Make it a toggle that increases move speed exponentially every second while also rapidly draining mana.

I mean you could but that would be like reworking janna into a mid laner because she's a powerful storm mage instead of updating her to be an up-to-date support where all her mains tend to play her.

I honestly cant make an unbiased comment because teemo when played right makes me want to end my life in top lane. But u think teemo should stay the way he is just modernize his kit. Keep him viable wherever he is viable as ling as its healthy.

A major buff to teemo would be making it so that the main objectives aren't shroom proof. Scuttle crab just completely annihilated Teemo. Maybe make it so that Scuttle can not trigger mushrooms.

Not sure about this. Right now, even though I can't stand Teemo (he just drops off so hard and his mushrooms are more an annoyance than useful), I really can't see him breaking away from his own "meta" - as a true counter to some of the trickier bruiser top-laners.

I can make him a jungler with one simple change. Make it that he can plant shorms easier the farther apart they shroms are from each other, similar to how Illaoi works with their tentacles. Maybe make him have two types of shroms, one that works on CD (big CD can be planted anywhere) and one taht works on position (lower CD but have to be farther apart from each other) and use his passive for it (when he goes stealth if no shrom is around he drops one). That will give him more viability as map controller and help him later on the game if he goes as laner.

Stealth Shroms deals significantly less damage but stays in the map for significantly longer.
