Champion mastery in three's

So My friends and I have noticed that you get champion mastery points in literally every single game mode, including the rotational game modes, except in three's and ranked three's. Are we gonna be getting mastery points in three's anytime soon? And if not why are we not receiving mastery points for playing our champs in three's.
