Concerns about the ranking system.

I have a few questions concerning how Riot determines what League you are picked in after Preliminaries. Every new season I learn a lot more than I did last season. Unfortunately, my first go around at ranked matches didn't go so well and I was stuck in Bronze V; fair enough, I deserved it that time. I tried and tried to get myself out of Bronze, but to no prevail. I waited until next season for preliminaries to see if I can maybe bounce myself out of Bronze or at least get a higher ranking in Bronze so that I may be able to have a better chance at reaching silver. After doing much better than I did last season, again, Bronze V. I discussed this with a few of my buddies who thought that Riot takes into account of your last season League placement for the new season. I always thought Preliminaries determined what league you get placed in. So this season, I tried my very best and did my very best. I won 7 out of my 10, and every game I earned an A or higher. After much hope that I get placed somewhere, I still ended up in Bronze V.

I don't understand, I've always assumed that Riot determines your placement from your first 10 preliminary games, not based off your last season. I don't think it's very fair, because I've changed and have gotten much better at the game than I had last season, but yet it put's me in Bronze V where I feel I don't deserve.

In other words, Riot done bent me over and went in dry on me. QQ.

your skill level isn't going to be that far off of last season. if it was a complete refresh, your games would have been much harder during those first 10 games since you were playing with other people of that mmr about.
