Intermediate Camera Design
So, I recently started playing some Varus mid, right?
I'm used to playing Melee mobility bruisers like
Renekton, and there's an advantage to playing in locked screen when you're playing Renekton, because the screen will shift a lot if you double dash then
flash onto someone.
So I'm sitting with Varus in mid lane, not being able to see where my arrows are going because I'm playing with locked screen. But if I play with unlocked, I have no idea where I'm going.
I think Riot should release a kind of intermediary in between the two kind of camera modes, a sort of shifting locked screen. Basically, the way I imagine it working is staying locked onto you, but shifting slightly depending on where your cursor is on the screen, depending on how far away the cursor is from your champion. (i.e. If your cursor is right on top of your champion, it will look like locked screen, if it's halfway across the screen to the left, the screen will move toward that direction, and if it's all the way on the edge of the screen, it will shift pretty far toward the left.)
I think it would help people who want to transition from locked to unlocked, or people who want to play champions that require an unlocked screen, but are unfamiliar with it (like me.)
Thanks for your attention, and I hope this could be implemented into the game in some fashion or other.
