Should I buy Illaoi?
I have 6300 ip and I'd like to buy a champion. I was thinking about Illaoi. Is she good? If not, what other champion would you recommend?

Considering her winrate at plat+ was at 44% after they changed her E, I don't think she will be OP anytime soon - even after some buffs.
That aside, Illaoi is one of the most fun to play champs imo and as stated before, they try to rebalance her. And especially in low elo, she can be quite strong because she profits immensely from enemies mistakes.
Pros: Insane Dmg Potential Good Zone Control Good Healing and Base Stats Hard to gank Very fun to play
Cons: Atm bad at high level play Kitable No cc or engage Reliant on enemy mistakes Low map pressure early
I think you should. She is fun. It is very satisfying when you manage to survive a 1v4 or 1v5 because your ultimate lets you deal massive damage and heal up pretty well.
So if you can't guess from that, she is much better at team fights than 1v1s unless you are against a weak laner. She definitely can be a bully, but she can also get bullied.
Her mana is a little bit of an issue in my experience, and you do need to make a pretty solid decision as to if you are going to go for tank or damage. There are a few items that work well as a mid range for both, but I think you will find yourself feeling kind of mediocre as a result.
When using her hook, try to do it while near a passive tentacle so it will automatically hit the clone to assist you on dealing damage. Also if the tentacle hits the clone and the enemy champion it deals additional damage. Also try to pull a clone before using your ultimate because it will trigger an extra tentacle to spawn.
Personally, I think 
is a very underrated item on her. Helps with her mana problems, gives her decent armor, and helps with her stick potential, 20% CDR is always good, and her base AD is the second highest in the game at level 18!!! For the same reason, 
has good synergy.

is good because any time her passive tentacles lands on an enemy she heals off the damage.
Yeah they are buffing her like mad atm...she will be op for a couple patches. Go buy her when the next patch comes out.
