mmr and ranked

Hes a question: lets say your a silver player after doing your ranked games, you think this sucks and dont play ranked for ages, you have improved to gold level for skill, u go back to ranked, what happens: are u vsing gold players or because ur technically in silver do u vs silvers?

If you've stopped playing ranked tour ranked mmr will still be silver there for you will play at that level, each mode has a different mmr system that selects your opponents probably to avoid people playing in normals and increasing/decreasing their ranked mmr.
