Ezreal Build Suggestions

ItsPhoenixGG··1 votes·621 views

My Ezreal build goes: Iceborn, Manamune, Lucidity Boots, Bork, Last Whisper and IE. My runes are: AD Marks, Armor Seals, Scaling CDR Glyphs, AD Quints. Those are working great for me. Any suggestions? I am trying to main him and it would be very nice to hear some other ideas.

No item 3078 ?

That should be your first legendary item ^ (some people build manamune before tri force on blue ezreal) I build weirdly on ezreal- either AD: item 3078 item 3031 item 3072 item 3006 item 3035 + item 3139 /item 3102 /item 3153 Yeah very weird ^

or blue: item 3078 item 3004 item 3277 item 3153+ item 3022/item 3025 (Iceborn spellblade won't work I think) + item 3035

I've recently seen an ezreal do well with item 3508 , so I might try that out sometime

Yup, Tri-force should be first on Ez.

Unless you're going Blue build. The Frozen Fist adds utility, defenses and CDR. Triforce doesn't off that much utility beyond the Rage passive, but offers more raw output of damage. The reasoning behind Frozen Fist over Triforce in this case is both share the sheen passive, so you're still doing quite a bit of a damage, but adding the extra defenses and AOE slow, plus the CDR, he turns into some AD poke mage. If you're good at landing poke and having a safe laning phase, Blue build Ezreal as an ADC or Mid laner has better sustained damage than Triforce Ezreal, stronger poke and better kiting.

No point in building Triforce and Frozen Fist. Both offer the sheen passive, no need to stack stats like that.

I agree with this, but as an ADC it is much harder to land skillshots than AAs which is why most people and pros build TF first, not IBG. As I said and basically every pro said at one point --- AD Ez > Blue EZ

RIP Elder Lizard :,c

Blue Ez> AD Ez when that was still around ;c

(Iceborn spellblade won't work I think)

^I already stated. The only reason(s) you would build Iceborn Gaunlet would be because: a)Frozen Mallet is overpriced b)they have a fed AD team Sometimes wasting some gold for the spellblade is worth it

Go AP and kill everyone.

AP Ezreal is probably the best way to build Ezreal.

Don't believe me? Keep an eye on champion.gg on Ezreal Mid. Every once in a while you'll notice that the highest win rate skill path or starting items or runes don't make any sense on an AD Ezreal. The only reason it doesn't show up more often is the lack of play it gets.

That actually sounds like a pretty poor build for Ez. I get that Ez needs mana but man you better have an amazing support because you deal so much less power then the opposing ADC for the first half of the game. Honestly, just build like most ADCs but add a mana/cdr item on top.

Blue Ez is really on for Koreans since Americans don't get how to properly use it. It doesn't come close to regular AD Ez in term of raw power.

Edit: @OP great build last game. Triple sightstone FTW.

I made a guide on him like the other day. I didn't really post it.

Let me know if you have any questions. :v

Do. item 3078 item 3508 item 3139 item 3035 item 3031 item 3158

This is just horrible. Don't go Essence reaver on Ezreal.

Because 80 attack damage, plus cdr, plus life steal, as well as mana vamp is completely bad on a champion that's gonna be spaming abilities like a fat kid on nutella?

When you compare it to other items that is like it, yes.

Botrk: Way more damage, same life steal, and an active BT: More def, same damage, and 10% more life steal Essence Reaver: CDR that doesn't matter, low life steal, pointless mana passive.

Bork requires you to AA a lot, has less damage then Essence and has a active that requires you to go up close which is contradictory to Ezreals ranged poke kite. BT: Offers a small shield that requires you to be AAing which again I said before is contradictory to his play style, yes it has the same damage, but to make up for the extra 10% the mana steal early game allows you to stay in lane with much more ease meaning more potential farm or kills that may not be missed.

My only grit with Essence Reaver is its build path. Should they create a item that gave mana steal even before completing the item; sorta like item 3751. Which gives you the small burn affect as you're building into it. If the build path were to be fixed no doubt it'd be a great item, not that it isn't currently, but it just needs that small tweak.

so are you not autoattacking on ezreal?

If you don't AA you do no damage as AD Ezreal.

Botrk: Gives more damage than Essence always since Q has on-hit effect.

BT: A more def buy.

let's go over a few critical items that ezreal needs to get in order to stay relevant:

item 3153 this is a ridiculously important item in a meta where tanks are a serious threat. because your q applies on-hit effects, it will apply the passive from blade of the ruined king to its damage and allow it to do noticeable damage to the enemy frontline. it also increases your kiting potential because of its movement speed-stealing active

item 3042 having a fully-stacked manamune gives ezreal his most significant powerspike and allows him to do sizable damage to the enemy team throughout all stages of the game. it's recommended that you buy your tear of the goddess as early as possible so that you can begin to stack it so that it's completely powered up by the time midgame comes out. the bonus damage from the toggle is also applied to your q, further boosting its damage

item 3078 /item 3025 pick one, not both. if their frontline is getting to you in most fights, grab an iceborn gauntlet. this will increase your kiting potential and allow you to peel yourself off of sticky tanks -- and sometimes assassins as well. the cooldown reduction, armor and extra mana is a nice bonus that synergizes well with your kit, too.

for all other situations, triforce is a great item that boosts every stat ezreal cares about. the rage passive from trinity force is also a great way to keep your distance from dangerous threats or catch up to fleeing enemies. picking the appropriate item is situational and largely based on preference.

item 3158 cooldown reduction on an AD-based caster. simple.

item 3035 you need armor penetration to stay relevant
