My Champions and Honor

I was looking at all of the 19 Champions I owned and noticed that a little more than half of my champions have no Honor level on them, as I had never played them in pvp. I just used all the champion shards I got, and I enchanted some of the rentals so I wouldn't waste them. I usually just stay with my general group of "I can play this" like Sona, Warwick, and Ashe.

The important question is as follows: Would it be worth my time to take all of the Honorless champions to Honor one (11 Champions) or would it be worth my time to bring my Honor one and two champions to Honor three? (6 Champions)

I don't know if Champion Honor levels affect any mechanics or not, so any information on that would also be helpful.
