From a Jungle Main, Sated Devourer is Completely Broken

So, I do not want this to sound like a QQ thread, especially since I'm often the one playing these sated junglers.

Recently, I have noticed a lot of threads complaining about sated devourer, so I decided that I would test it out on a few junglers, and let me say that I'm absolutely disgusted by how strong it is. Just earlier today, I was playing Xin Zhao and went 19/1/4. People always complain about the early game of devourer being terrible, but on champs LIKE Xin Zhao with an attack based knockup or double-strike (Master Yi) it is still a very strong item for the attack speed ALONE. A Xin Zhao should not be able to go in 1v5 and win, same thing with Master Yi, Kayle, etc. But that is exactly the position that Riot has put them in.

Don't even get me started on how well Devourer works with BOTRK. That is just crazy. Unless you got a few kills under your belt early game (this is even a stretch), it becomes nearly impossible to 1v1 a devourer jungler with BOTRK. And with Devourer and BOTRK, the jungler can easily solo drag, which is just another 5 stacks towards becoming sated. Riot has just given Devourer too many stats in the early and late game.

About the nerfs on the PBE, I was looking at them earlier and I honestly don't think they will affect most of these junglers in any way shape or form. Lowering the Sated Devourer on-hit damage to 60 down to 50 damage really isn't going to be that detrimental, especially when this extra damage doesn't help many junglers out all that much. When Xin and Yi can kill someone just with sated, the damage they do flat from their abilities is still going to be enough to 100-0 any squishy in the game. The only champ this will change much is WW, only because his ult procs it every auto, but as soon as he buys a Wits End, that damage has skyrocketed back up.

TL;DR: Sated devourer is in way too good of a spot right now and needs to be taken down a few pegs. Champions should not be able to solo drag at such early levels with just a devourer, which apparently has a "bad early game". These devourer junglers also shouldn't be able to go in and 1v5 a team, but most if not all can easily do that with only a few kills.

I have to disagree in that. First of all, Devourer requieres setting up, getting 30 stacks ins't easy. Even with Dragon and being ahead, you can complete it by the 20 minute mark aprox. While in most cases it will take longer. And it requieres dedication to the jungle and control over the objetives. If you are playing against a devourer champ all you have to do is delay their jungle. Stealing a buff always hurts, but in this case it hurts twice as much. Controlling the Scuttle Crab, warding Dragon. BotRK is also a very expensive object for a jungler which you also delay. And in the end, stacking armour and Thornmail shuts down most Devourer junglers, as they are oftenly forced to go full tank after BotRK. If a full damage WW or a Yi is rampaging your team the problem is not the item, probably if you look at your team comp you will find it.

If you don't believe me I can sum it down: Warwick is a melee atacker which only gapcloser is his stoppable ult and he's force to go full tank or else will be useless. Udyr has no way of getting to your carries that's not walking down, and has only 1 CC at hand. Also forced to go full tank. Yi has always be Yi. Stacking armour and Thornmail hurts him. He can't build tank you CC and he's dead. Nocturne even got a buff because he was underperforming. Right CC at the right time shuts him down. Also forced to go tank. Kayle got nerfed and since then her jungling is more mediocre tan what it already was. Easy to invade, easy to deny farm and won't gank ever. His core is also really expensive and can't build tank, so a behind Kayle is really, really useless. Xin Zhao is quite a guy. He I agree might be a little out of tone, but having no escapes hurts him sometimes. Late game he is forced to build tank or won't go in without dying instantly, but has the power to erase carries from existence. For him you will need a lot of peel, which isn't exactly hard. Also his clear times aren't that good and that's abusable early. If he ganks a lot, just don't die to make him lose time (ward a lot, play safe).
