It seems that Riot keeps nerfing ranged while buffing melee?
I mean, as the overall trend. Firstly let's discuss about ranges. It could be seen than many old ranged champs have like 600 range (ashe, anivia, old zilean), after which most ADCs have a typical 550 range. In recent times, many new ADC champs often have 525 range. It seems to have been long since a champion with >=575 range released. Also, the update history of many champions (tristana, twitch, kogmaw) contains some range nerfs, but it seems rare (at least recently) that any ranged champion gets a range buff. Then for runes, items and mechanisms: the trend became obvious since the release of Conqueror. The sterak has been restricted to melees, and then... the famous adc-free meta... Then Conqueror was nerfed, but I still noticed that a lot of new melee champions have True Damage, and after the Kayle rework, it seems that only Vayne and Velkoz have ranged True Damage. It may result in brawlers gaining more power in cutting tanks than marksmans, which can be another reason for the decline of importance of ADCs... So I wonder if it is just my bias (as I main ranged champions and don't like melees), or Riot is actually encouraging toe-to-toe fights to promote the "interactivity" of the game?
have all been pretty nasty or were nasty before recent nerfs. Sure the list of ranged stuff that is dumb is big too, but this isn't a one sided thang. Riot just forgot bot exists in all this jung/top mess of a season.
is a Juggernaught item. At no point should a ranged champion be buying this item and gaining more of a benefit from it than the INTENDED user's.
