How does ranked works?

So,how does the ranked system goes? For example, how much wins do you need to get in order to reach Silver division? I never really played ranked,so I don't know this part, especially since things changed. Currently,I am Bronze 2 and I have 8 wins so far, with 39 LPs. I tried searching on Google, but stuff I found was from 2013-2014 and it didn't helped that much,so I flew here like a bird in hope that someone will explain this for me!

Help this noob out with the informations. ;o; Thanks!

LP stands for League Points. You get a certain amount of LP each time you win and you lose a certain amount each loss (both based on your MMR). Once you get 100 LP you are qualified for series that are three games long. Win at least two and you're being promoted (for example you're in series in Bronze 2, win it, you're being placed into Bronze 1). When you're in series to get into another division (Bronze to Silver, Silver to Gold etc) the series are 5 games long and you need to win at least 3 in order to be placed to the next division.

Also, an important thing to note. When you're promoted, you start with 0 LP again, BUT you're granted one day immunity to demotion. So you don't get demoted after one loss if you happen to lose the next game. But after one day it's possible again.
