I believe that you should be able to unbox a rune page in the hextech crafting. The rune pages already cost the same amount as a champion but most people dont want to waste their ip on a page when they could get a new champion. And most people buy rp to get rune pages anyway. So it would be really beneficial for anyone who cannot buy rp or just does not want to spend money on it. Please take this into consideration. Thx for reading.

Listen. LoL is a free to play game with no box price and no subscription price. Riot makes all their money from the extra champion and skin sales with RP. They very generously gave us a way to earn these champions and skins for free just for playing their free game. This does nothing but dig into their profits.
Then we get people who are ungrateful and demand more free extras from the company providing the free game. Riot is not a charity. Riot is in it to make money. There will be no money for them to make if they give everything away. No money means no more free LoL for you to enjoy. Yes, champion and rune page prices are set somewhat high to encourage you to buy a few with RP, but again Riot is not a charity.

Making it earned by playing the game itself and not through in-game purchases. I agree with SeniorBagel in the sense that the player does not start with a reasonable amount of pages however, and requires more. To fix this issue it would be almost senseless that they either implement rune pages in the hextech crafting system, or by rewarding players with free rune pages in other ways.

Giving away the rare rune page, possibly even as rare as a gemstone, it wont hurt the economy of riot. The fact of the matter is, rune pages are essential to gameplay due to the shear importance of runes on the impact of the game. Considering the average player needs more than 2 rune pages, the price of the pages should be decreased, or using the idea of including them in the hextech crafting system.
