I am starting to believe in elo hell again

So, I was gold last season and I knew I would get placed lower than my last rank, of course. I won 8 of my 10 placement games and got placed in Silver V. I thought ok, it's almost damn bronze but at least it should be easy to climb out of there playing against weaker players. I won 5/6 of my next ranked games and jumped 2 ladders at once, to Silver III. I was doing well and thought I would get my gold back sooner or later and then start trying to climb at plat. But games I have played during week... I have 5 victories from 18 last games. I rarely die in lane more than 2 times, even I get camped by enemy junglers a lot as Yasuo main. In late game teamfights I of course die some more because I dive into enemy team and if any cc hits me I'm basically dead.

I am not very good at farming with mages, so when playing them I usually have about same farm as enemy in my lane. When playing yasuo I know how to pressure them and usually I have significant cs lead over my laner when playng yasuo.

But even I win my lane, I can't turn that lead to ictory, because even I start roaming other lanes after lvl 6, there is some problems.

My last few games:

LOSS, Yasuo 7/8/9, our toplane vayne went 0/10 in lane vs jax who just oneshotted everyone later...

WIN, Lux 6/7/10, pretty good game and like first time I saw enemy vayne who wasn't fed...

LOSS Annie, 23/9/12, our riven went 3/9 and our jungler afkd 5 minutes, and still went 6/11. Their nexus was open but my teammates chased enemy support under their baseturret - enemy baron and enemy win. I reported every one for intentionally feeding god damn...

LOSS Yasuo 5/9/5, Our darius fed enemy Riven like 0/10, I played badly and jax camped me pretty hard so I had trouble against fizz. But we still turned the game around and in this game I premaded with my Brother and he played vayne well. We won lategame teamfights (we had vayne), but darius was taking BLUE BUFF and our amumu jungle took it, so darius snapped big time, said "I TROLL" ( like he didn't whole early game) and walked in midlane 1 vs 5 and died. And it was gg.

Then my client didn't allow me to connect game (new client is damn buggy), so my team remaked and I got loss...

LOSS 14/6/3, Yasuo, My team: 2/8 Ryze, 1/7 Caitlyn and 0/11 soraka, couldn't carry game with lee even we both were fed.

LOSS 16/9/6 Garen, My team: 6/12 Graves, 7/14 Jinx, 2/23 (jesus) brand. Just jesus. How. Graves was afk like 10 minutes, and in the end brand and jinx went afk after graves and they had argument about who's fault loss is... lol...

So that is 6 games (and one remake) and in every one of them someone or someones in my team went about 0/10, I had 4 people who were afk, and one intentionally feeding troll. (I got message my report was noticed and he got penalty). I can play my lane safe and get good farm, few kills, but that way I don't see how I can beat champions like jax, riven and vayne with 15 kills when I have 2.

I know only way to climb is play better and carry. But seriously if I am 1 vs 5, I am not challenger player, I am gold level player and so are some who I am playng against, and if they are fed and I am not, I just can't beat them without a team. I am startng to believe in elo hell again lol... Even I lose games I don't get demoted, when I win I get 25 lp and when I lose I lose like 15, but I really feel I can't win games where my team gives 5 kills to enemy during first 3 minutes. These players just give up when their frst 1 vs 1 fight goes wrong, and then they desperatel try to even the lane and go 0/10. I know I did same over year ago. And I don't understand why I get placed in Silver V if after that my mmr is so high that I jump 2 ladders at once and get so much pints but lose few.

I know here are people in forum who always talk about "you just need to carry harder etc" but I really don't see how in hell I can do that. So please give me some advice... Should I swap to toplane since there seems to be best chance to face a feeding player, and that way prevent getting feeding toplaner to my team? :P

Let me put some things in perspective for you:

  • You obtained a rank of Gold 5 0 LP last season (which isn't that high)- you will be placed in either low Silver or high bronze (which you did)
  • The difference between a Gold 5 player and a high Silver player (1 or 2) is pretty negligible - At silver 3 you are probably playing against players that are around your skill level so you aren't going to win that many games and you may have streaks
  • There is a big difference between say a high Gold player and a Gold 5 0LP player, just as there is a large difference between a Silver V player and a Silver I player. It is unsurprising that you can't immediately get back to Gold because your skill is probably pretty close to most high silver players
  • When players reach Gold they frequently stop playing (which it looked like you reached gold right at the end of last season), so they don't really develop as a player. They don't play against other gold players and improve, they simply climbed playing mostly against mostly silver players, and expect their to be some type of magical transformation in their skill because they reached Gold. If didn't play in the division at all, you probably didn't improved as a player.
  • Comparing your stats from last season to this season you look like you improved a bit (fewer deaths) but not a lot - so it will take some time to climb.

I don't think this is really a reflection of Elo hell: your likelihood of getting feeders in a game are equal to your opponents. This is largely a reflection that you as a player maybe have obtained Gold but probably remained a Silver Caliber player due to inconsistent play. I looked at your game logs, they are pretty par for the course. You aren't playing consistently well every game (which you need to do) in order to climb. You are playing pretty average with a relatively high CS count, along with a high death count. This suggests to me that your mechanics are probably "fine" but you make poor decisions a lot when deciding when to pick a fight.

At the end of Season 5 I got to Gold V (my first season) but I wasn't a gold player, I was a silver player that got on a hot streak at the very end of the season. I didn't improve that much until preseason and the start of season 6, when I was able to consistently play in the division.

You ALMOST have 50% win rate and if you bump that up to 51% or 52% you will begin to climb.
