Does individual performance matter?

If I still play relatively well in a game that I lose, will i lose less MMR than if I played badly in that game?

I just got Gold 1 and am terrified of demoting lol.

What really helps (at least until Diamond 5) is good shotcalling. Playing roles that allow you time to say your intents helps keep your team organized. Saying something like "Ty Nice gank ", or "let's do baron while cait and Jarvan are down" , helps keep team focused on a goal

No. You can be 0/14 and win, or 14/0 and lose. You only represent 25% of your team.

Only if you play top lane. The only role that really matters in this game anymore.
