Regarding Twisted Treeline

I have been playing this game since something between 2009 and 2010. Since then, most of my games have been on Twisted Treeline.

3v3 is something that no other quality MOBA game offers. Dota doesn't have it, HoN got rid of their 3v3 immediately after it was sold off, BLC has no players or updates anymore. And now Riot decided to kill it off too.

Why did they kill it off? Because they claim nobody even played it, and that they need to spend their resources elsewhere. This is just a completely false statement. In other words, a lie.

• I have never, I mean never had ridiculous waiting times in EUNE TT. It averages of around 30 sec - 3 min.
• If by resources they mean developers and dedicated teams to TT, then no, there was no dedicated team. Everybody knows that TT didn't get any updates for a long time. Nothing since 2012 is even remotely considered an 'update'. If they mean technical resources such as servers, that would mean that players would have had to experience some sort of lag or any other problem in other game modes in order to justify their need for more server resources. So again, no, this is not correct.

Sure, this can make sense for low-population servers - but why remove it everywhere? I'm sure that TT players would be glad to play on another server if their home server cannot afford to host it due to low population. I know I play URF on PBE when it isn't on EUNE. Sure I have some lag, but I play the game mode I like, and I don't mind the lag.

Riot, your players aren't as stupid as you continuously think they are. If you have removed a game mode that MANY preferred, you need to give us ACTUAL reasons. Actual numbers that show WHY you would do something like this, because the reasons you have listed are just blatant lies to cover the fact that maybe you're too lazy to work on it because you personally don't like it or simply lack the inspiration to implement new things. You can say that a small percentage of players only play TT - but are you sure that the "small percentage" is honestly a small number? I'm confident that what you believe is a small percentage of players will equal to a bigger amount than some other MOBA/MMO games have in total.

Bethesda keeps getting away with broken games because their players work on mods and fixes for free, simply because they like the game. And if you just admitted to yourselves that for whatever reason you don't want to update this game mode, then you could let players work on it. I have no problem on suggesting patch notes and actually coding the thing for free, just so I can keep playing the game mode I like most. I'm confident that there is enough people who would do something like this to make a team of a reasonable size that would keep the game mode updated and active, up to a point that players would actually be interested in the patches that make everything fresh and keep playing. Sure I'm a hardcore fan of TT and I would play it regardless of updates, but I understand people who stopped playing it simply because it's the same thing for 7 years. You can't say people are uninterested in TT when you keep putting up updates for SR, ARAM, and all the rotating game modes, but not for TT. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how those things are connected, yet you took full liberty to leave this fact out of your official post.

Furthermore you simply dismiss the dissatisfaction of everyone and say it's okay because we'll get icons. Honestly, cosmetic rewards and changes are nice - but not any good. To exaggerate: nobody will play a game that consists of simple cosmetics, but everyone will play a game with great game play and no cosmetics.

I'm certain that all your faithful and dedicated players who mained TT (yes, people did actually main this game mode) couldn't care less about the icons they received. You killed off their favorite game mode for no reason. I can't stress this enough - You have no reason. It's a little offensive to take away something many liked, and give them menial things in return. Doesn't matter that this is just an online game, the principle behind it is ridiculously disgusting.

On the off chance that someone from Riot reads this and actually cares about anything their players say - please let everyone know exactly why the game mode was removed. Not by saying what you already said. No. Tell us the problem you had which led to this decision. Tell us the ACTUAL numbers. I'll say this again - your players are not stupid. If an actual legitimate reason exists for you to remove this game mode, then people will understand and will not be angry or disappointed with you. They might just be sad about it but that's it.

Or, you can just ignore this post like you ignore every other post on the subject, and prove that you actually had no reason to remove it, and just want the whole thing to blow over so you wouldn't have to publicly admit that the sole reason behind it was something objectively irrelevant.

Please prove me wrong, Riot.

Just remember what you were back in 2009. Every player mattered. The community mattered. Why did this change?
