R.I.P. You'll always be my darkin blade
Crazy to think Aatrox has been out for so long. I will never forget looking at his champion spotlight before his release a few years ago and just thinking "WHAT A BADASS!" He looked cool, his backstory was cool, and hell, even his abilities looked cool. His release day came and it wasn't long before he became my favorite champion. He had his ups and downs, with some people claiming he was trash, while others simply played the champion, determined to hush the nonbelievers. He took some hits, got some buffs, but his kit remained true. I decided last season it was time to simply think outside the meta and make him my main. (It helped that rageblade was broken beyond repair at the time). What a fun time that was. Over one hundred ranked games alone. Over 150k mastery points. Even with the changes to the attack speed jungle item and rageblade nerf, I still brought out Aatrox. Mastering the w is what it was all about. I don't know why riot felt it was necessary to crucify him. He'd done nothing wrong. Even back when he crept into LCS and performed solidly, Riot smacked him right out of there. Yet he remained pretty much the same. Now he feels weak. Busted. Broken. And not in anyb of the good ways. But above all, he feels WRONG. Just felt I had to express myself in some way. I realize there is talk for a master rework coming up for him anyway. I look to the future as a metaphorical blood well. Aatrox is down, now we simply wait for him to rise anew.
