I feel that auto fill is fantastic, in norms. When i get auto filled i usually get a role that i rarely play or haven't played in a while. So when i get auto fill in ranked it kinda ruins the game. Ranked is where you try your hardest to win, but when i get auto filled i am unable to do that. Most of the time when i can't do my best I feed, and because i feed i get my team pretty tilted. So i think that auto fill in ranked is a not very good idea.
I think Auto Fill is stupid for ranked. I got put there and try to help my team so they can carry for me and they all fed a zed and Jhin hard. They did not know when to engage I tried to tell them and they did not listen because they "know what to do". So i think in ranked that there should be no auto fill. I can carry the game a good amount of the time and if i cant i help as much as I can. If people do not know when or when not to carry then they will be stuck in bronze and silver.
Exactly, auto fill is VERY BAD for ranked and is pretty fun for normals. To have less que times in ranked, give INCENTIVE to que as fill, so that people we really like things like hextech chests for special titles can pursue those, and let the rest of us persue what we are playing ranked for: WINS.
One of the most important things to learn, when playing ranked, is that you can just get carried, you don't have to be the best on your team. If you get autofilled, especially into a role you don't play much, just chill. Play a champ your understand, and play to the best of your abilities. Just because you were autofilled, doesn't mean you can't do well.
