Championship Jewels gone/worthless?

I had upwards of eighty, which i was hoping to get one or two orange essence for (like the project cores that nobody had more than 6 of). though of course because everyone seems to have a lot of these, they all just get stripped from our account with no chance to disenchant? Your opinion about this company is your own, and everyone is entitled to theirs, but i think we can agree that was a pretty %%%%y thing to do as a company, pretty much a giant "hah... no fk u" to the people that spent money on their in game casino. I get that its minuscule amount of essence, but im sure much more essence would have been given away for these than in the project event. I simply don't get how the fuck you drop that ball
