New Season Ranked

So after 5-6 years playing the game I still don't understand why there is never a exact date when the season ends. It's not like it bothers to much I just wonder why there is no specific post regarding just this topic. I remember last season I got a alert that the season ended in a week which was quiet devastating. After you've gotten the rewards and all that you can just play on. Now I get to the point that is just pointless in my eyes. There is a gap between season 6-7 for example there you just play and get nothing out of it. I think it's around December this acause. I ussualy have holidays aswell around that time which would be great if I could spend it on ranking up again. Then it comes to January and I just get the same lack of time to play so much solo que as the season starts right when my holidays ends. This is not just directed towards me, I think I'm speaking for more than just 1 person as the holidays for many has ended before the 20th of January.

It's fairly hard to just change a date like this and it has a lot to do with Riots schedule and plans in for the new season so pushing a date might not be possible (is my guess). It would just be nice if the new Season Started around the first of january. This is just my opinion I think the time there between December and January is unnecessary. I know this is a period many use to higher their MMR so they start higher next season I just think the point of that is not as exciting/fun. I can't speak for everyone I just mean that it'd be nice to have excitement through the Winter Holidays.
