How's everyones placements going?

Before placements, I was mid Gold 3. So far, I'm taking my placement matches pretty slowly. I've been playing two or three games a day and so far I'm 5-2. I've only solo'd my placements because I feel like having a duo could place you at a disadvantage more than an advantage. I've heard a lot of people going well above positive in their placements, but still getting placed below what they were before Season 5. I'm curious as to how my next few games will go and if I'll be placed lower than Gold 3. Currently, at 5-2, I'm consistently getting Plat 4- Plat 2 players, so hopefully I'll keep rising. How is everyone else's placements going?

Not sure, but I'm going to start mine soon! I don't play ranked often, and I regret that because I missed out on that Champion Morg skin :(.

Anyways I'm curious to know if I should just try to rank one of my unranked through the new season, or try with my main account (currently at Siv IV).

If my Siv IV one will automatically be lower no matter what, I don't even wanna bother lol. But if my unranked one has the potential to get to Gold, I'll do that :).

gold 4 last season. gold 4 after placements. The grind continues

Gold 3 last season, Gold 4 this season, 100% sure if I had peel for 2 of my losses just now I could've gotten Gold 3 or 2 XD

But it's okay! I'm fine with G4 placement.

Everyone will be placed lower (is based on MMR, not division/tier). The exact purpose a new season is to reset everyone and make them work up to what they deserve. Even Challengers are Platinum now. From all the moaning I'm hearing on the forums about placements, on average you will be placed 3 divisions lower than you were, and is not vastly affected by how your Placement matches went.

Well not really. I finished my series and went 7-3. Ended preseason Gold 3 and got placed Gold 2. So.

I just said based on your MMR, not your rank. You both had a high MMR and did well in placements.
