Tips on how to farm better?

When i go neeko, im usually mid. Ive switched to mid because top wasnt working for me. However, i thought i was mid so i locked in neeko and it turned out i was top! [zombie-brand-facepalm] Since ive gotten comments like "dont go neeko top" or "you suck at farming/the game" i was very disappointed in myself that i didnt see i was top. But that game, i actually was pretty decent! Since i recently posted a discussion on the gameplay board and i got feedback quick. I decided "ok since im top and neeko top doesnt work apparently then ill just focus on farming more than poking/killing enemy champions" and i focused on farming. I was forced to "play safe" since i was kinda forced to since i didnt want to disappoint my jungler who said in champion select "gg top and bot suck". So here are the results. I got about 125 farm at 20 mins and the final farm count was 155. I went 6/4/5 and got two honors (wew). The game lasted 33:06. This farm count is better than my usual 80-120. And yes, ill admit, im absolute garbage at farming because i focus on dealing damage to the enemy more than farming. Im not doing too well in ranked and I need tips. Anything helpful and not mean (purposely saying i suck or should quit) would be great [galio-happy]

Two tower shots makes the melee low enough to auto, auto-tower-auto for the casters, and 7 tower shots for the cannons then auto, for csing in the middle of the lane don't auto at risky times, for example if a minion is 120 hp and you have multiple minions autoing it, dont get greedy and try to auto twice, just wait, use abilities on cannons if you aren't confident, you can also deny the enemy laner while farming for example on neeko you can A-E quickly, 10cs per minute is what is seen at the highest level, but in lower elos i think 7+ is what you can get away with

Focus in small goals. Every wave (Without canon) is 6 cs. Dont think about having 90 cs at 10, but about having 40 at 5.

Know when to go side lanes to farm and which one (Its preferible to you to go to the farthest lane of the most important objective at the moment, so you can join with TP

Before go to a lane after B, check if someone is already going to the lane

As neeko you can also easy do some jungle camps, use it

No but really with neeko you E-Q the wave and time the melees, prime and hold your W auto for the cannon.

Also don't let the trashcans like that jungler determine how you play, unless he's going to gank, then play it smart.

I've learned that it's okay to spend mana for a few minions. Every minion is worth something in the long run. Plus you have mana regen. If you have max mana then you're not utilizing your mana regen stat.
