What I feared most about the new Draft Mode has already happened.

So I get into a game, the person who was assigned Top Lane yelled out in chat "nooooo, I wanted to jungle!".

This was what I feared. Because you see, I was queued as Top > Jungle. I asked him what he was queued as, he replied "Jungle main, Top secondary."

Why is this allowed to happen? The both of us could have had our main role we specified, but the matchmaking put us both in our secondaries? This time it was no issue, we told each other and just swapped. But what about the times nobody speaks up and you just accept the role your given, even tho you could have had your preferred role?

This needs to be addressed.

Communication in team select has always been and is still key to success. If you aren't talking team comp / lane assignments and strategy in champ select you're already behind.

I'm not denying that it isn't, but that does not excuse this when it happens. If we have to talk with everyone on our team every lobby just to make sure we got the roles we wanted most, what is the point of this whole system in the first place?

This isn't an issue of "Oh my mid is Yasuo, I might want to play someone with a knock-up to strengthen our comp!" This is an issue of players not getting the role they signed up for, when there was literally nothing stopping them from playing it other then the matchmaking system having a brain fart.
