Gangplank's Q and Ravenous Hydra

It seems that Gangplank's Q acts as a melee attack with the Ravenous Hydra still giving him the AOE with it. Now I'm not sure if this is a bug or if its intended for it to be that way. The only reason I'm even bringing this up is because I was playing some normal games last night and saw it on the other team. Anyone know if its meant to be that way?

It is supposed to be like that, and if they removed it the weakest champion in game would get worse

To be fair, it says in the tool tip that it's treated like a melee basic attack =|

Okay you see that's the thing I never bothered buying him so I never knew that, I should have looked a little more into it.

All good, man. Whenever a new champion comes out, you see all the streamers running around "wtf do my abilities do", so us plebs are allowed to be confused sometimes.
