sorry but what? you have his E passive to help you proc relic shield. He is a ranged champion so why should he get special treatment to proc relic shield?

Why should Thresh get special treatment? Don't/Can't use Relic effectively? Start using Coin.

I prefer Talisman on him anyway personally.

Use your Flay passive damage amp to get the CS and proc the healing/gold sharing part of the passive.
