I played my first 3 rank games of the season today & ever since I got out of the first one, it says i'm Iron IV rather than 1/10 placements.
Now I have 2 wins & 1 loss and im iron 3.
Is placements even still a thing or do you just start at iron 4
SLAYER941 votesfrom my understanding you still do your 10 placement matches but it tells you were you will be placed based off of your mmr on games played so far. so based on your first 3 games your going to be in iron 3 but should go up from there. based on that id say you should end up in middle bronze maybe even low silver at the end of 10 games depending on your gameplay
QESparkles1 votesdo we know why after i went 8 and 0 in my placements i and placed at bronze 4. This is a fresh account with only those 8 ranked games played.
Dynikus1 votesYou're given you lowest possible rank after 1 game. For the next 9 games, you'll get significantly increased LP gains and skip any promo matches, while being unable to lose LP. After your first 10 games, ranked is played as it's always been.

Pretty much this. It should mean that fresh new 30s should end up in iron and people with exp shouldn't.
