So you're either not listening, or I was right and you're bronze/silver and depend too heavily on auto piloting through games. Since you're slowly going down the path of contradicting what you've said, I looked up the game myself, and I already see sooooo much wrong with what you've purchased and the runes you took. I also Found out that my second point was right. In terms of elo.
liandry is mandatory, but first comes mana sustain.....
you can't build any of these items early game yet :/
Early game mana sustain is the best its ever been in the history of league. Again, if you'd change your runes pregame accordingly you coulda taken manaflow band or Prescience of mind. I'm HOPING you built
so you get even more mana sustain, and even if you did super autopilot and take
even that gives mana regain. You could have rushed support items like
or if you took aery as a keystone you could have even sprung for a risky, but rewarding
. There are so many options for early game mana sustain that still let you be safe even without tenacity. But you went the selfish route and opted for damage and late game scaling buy putting all your eggs in one basket with
, which I should remind you sucks early game now due to the change to mage items. I'll get to your boots in a second.
i usually take exhaust but its not that effective against them.
can't do damage without
thanks to riot.
As a support your job isn't to do damage. IT's to protect the carry. With a Warwick, Annie, Jhin, and Pantheon you didn't need damage, you needed defense. Also flat magic penetration/armor penetration is terrible against tanks you need % Armor/MR. I'm going to explain the math as simple as I can like I did with tenacity (which you never really mentioned again come to think of it).
Armor and MR has a diminishing return, meaning the more you build the less you gain from it. 0-100 of each resistance gets you 0% to 50% damage reduction, but going from 100-200 resistance only goes from 50% to around 62%. Now here's why flat armor pen sucks against tanks. If you negate 18 MR on a 32 MR Jhin, you basically drop him down to 14 MR, going from I'm guessing 27% to 10% reduction. That's a huge difference. But doing the same on say Leona who with W on usually has around 125 MR early-mid game you're only droping her from 125-107 which goes from around 54% to 51% reduction. See the difference?
This proves my second point even more, as well as my third seeing as how a better player woulda figured this out and just built
, which would have been safer, more effective, and more cost effecient since yeah you're doing less damage, but only around 1-3% to your main enemies.
nope, i did everything right, stunned them both simultaneously, and used ult and used slowdown, thing is they didn't focus the adc but me.....
Now repeat after me. No one does everything right. I hear this all the time, if you did everything right, you deserve challenger. If you did everything right, you wouldn't have died. If you did everything right, you would have won the game. Clearly from my last point already you did things very wrong.
one build tank the other ad, leona has one broken gapcloser which might as well be point and click lol, i wonder when riot will fix hitboxes :/
So here you contradict yourself "They went full AD". when I read that I knew that you'd be the type to lie in order to feel right, which is why I looked up the game. Leona built bruiser with
and
while Taric. You guys just fed him so many kills..... built
and
. Those are expensive items, minus Knights vow. So that was on you guys for snowballing them so hard. If you had ended lane even they wouldn't have had their first items (triforce and ROA) untill around level 7. But because you fed so hard, they where able to get their hands on some of the most powerful items in the game and snowball. I think this is something you left out intentionally because these items aren't usually built on Leo Taric, and they give some of the best stats in the game. But no, the champions are broken, not the expensive build.
im afraid these items are too expensive for a support build, especially early game @.@
See mana sustain section. You may not be able to get tenacity immediately, but you can still have options for safety in the early game.
Edit: I think Mercs cost the same as Sorc. boots btw, I think
she was definitely not squishy.
yea I know that now since you went from "full AD" "one build tank the other build AD" And she didn't even build any actual AD besides Triforce. . .
truth be told they don't need ap scaling or tank items, which is why they are broken.
people often underestimate leona and taric since they are mainly in bot lane as support, however i've seen both of them solo destroy top lane @.@
Yes, yes they can destroy ppl top lane. You wanna find out why? There are two good reasons that you've completely ignored still.
- Champion mastery: bet you didn't want to mention their summoner names for a good reason. It'd be admitting you know they play those champs a LOT, and probably had more skill with them than you on Zilean.
- Riot wants off meta picks to be relevant. Taric top and Leona top CAN work and you know what? That's ok. That's the point of off roles. They have drawbacks sure like Leona can't even use her passive top lane effectively unless jungler ganks or the fact that All of tarics spells are essentially cut in half utility wise since he has no one to tether to. But if you're really good at the champions, then you can pull it off, and even steamroll if you're that good.
i know a leona player in real, and he definitely doesn't put much effort in the W.....
leona is really not squishy, with or without W or defence items :/
She's squishy if she doesn't build tank, she's squishy if enemies avoid her W, She's really squishy if she doesn't have either, I hope that I don't have to explain why. If I do. . . I'm not doing another math section on someone who won't listen
this where ''team mates'' come in^^
Here's the problem with that way of thinking. Most teamates won't be able to immediately re-engage Since the enemy's teamates also exist. They will just fight the people who are actual threats and still ignore the tank since again, in the scenario the tank deals little-no meaningful damage. Tanks believe it or not should be able to kill champions who build NO defensive items with relative ease. If tanks start easily outdueling champions who build bruiser like on-release
, Or there's a tank who kills other tanks too easily like post buffed
then and only then is it a problem. If a champion can't even kill another champion who doesn't have any defensive items that champion will never be viable, it's as simple as that.
- i'm talking early game to late O.o
- i mainly used abilities in defence not offense, since we didn't get a chance to get close due to leona.
- i do, unfortunatly there isn't much counter play against it..... at first we did state liandry and lw or db, but we never got to build that due to opressive dives in early.
- i have played both of them with ease, it was so boring, i decided never to play them again lol.
Belive it or not if you made it to late game with your comp vs theirs you would have won. Again they had 3 tanks, no ADC and a
. If you where smart enough to build supportive to minimize their early game snowball or you recognized that they where building scaling items, and played accordingly you probably would have won the game. The fact that you've done neither means you have no idea how early game strength works, or how late game scaling items work.
You don't use your abilities defensively like you claim. You've proven that with your late game oriented burst build of
and I'm assuming
. Since you'd have little to nothing to do in lane to stack your archangel's staff since you'd be holding a bomb ready to immediately stun them if they engaged, You're W and Ult wouldn't be used almost ever, and I guess you could spam you're E, but it would build up way too slow.
You should've recognized you where outmatched early game and instead built defensively. Ask your actual carries to build the damage and you build the cheaper support items to actually lend aid to your team. The "there's nothing I could do" argument doesn't hold when you actually didn't consider all of your options.
But these people you've played with have obviously mastered them both. Better than you've mastered your champ, and probably better than just about everyone in that game looking at their summoner names.
It's clear you lost your team the game. They had the sustain damage to make it to mid game as long as bot lane didn't feed, and you fed them. Jhin is building accordingly, sacrificing his
and instead opting for
as well as
and
for safety and mana sustain. Too bad his support was building damage and couldn't effectively do anything except exhaust, waste a bomb so he couldn't stun, and slow down the people with ranged hard CC and plenty of games on their champions. It's clear at this point you're just making excuses for your poor play, and I'm sorry you can't learn any sort of lesson here. I'm done with ya bud, hope maybe, just maybe you could understand what you did wrong.
