Anivia Nerfs?

She is relatively popular and especially played by mains in my elo (plat) She seems to, no matter how hard she gets destroyed in laning phase, manage to impact the game and be highly relevant late game doing more damage than adc and 1 shotting anyone, even with a huge stepback early game.

She legitimately have, everything you could ask for. CC with Q, slow with Q, A blockade that forces flash 70% of the time, Damage, MORE EXTRA HUGE 1 SHOT DAMAGE WITH E, Slow zone with R which by the way is quite glitchy and makes it pretty hard to get out of. She also has tanky stats, with archangels and ROA. LEGIT SHE HAS EVERYTHING...

Im not asking for a big nerf, but its quite obvious as the ranked number 8 champ outa who knows 150 champs... something needs to be done here. She has almost 0 counterplay and can R wave, takes 2 seconds, and then roam, roam roam. And you cant dodge her roam well cuz her Q has a huge hitbox, and you cant dodge her roams well because she literally have a wall to block you off. What type of champ design is this?

She may be a late game champ and thats why even if she loses laning phase HARD, she stays relevant. But i main vladimir, a heavy late game champ, and yet if I lose laning phase, it delays my ability to carry or even the option to, where im practically useless and cant impact the game at all but just keep dying.

I really find her annoying and strong but she has counters and there is no reason to nerf her , she isn't that popular in other elos

Annoying is the proper word to describe her. Every champion have counters, but that doesn’t stray her away from doing her main job, at dealing massive damage to everyone in team fights and slowly picking them off with Q large range. The only counter to her is someone with mobility, to get away from her R W, but let’s be honest in every league game there will be 2-4 players who don’t have easy access to mobility, especially before dying to it.

Her stats seems fine. 51-52% winrate, 3-4% pick rate, 1-2% banrwte don’t scream overpowered at all.

She is what riot considers a “learning curve” champion where you can’t pick her up in the first few games. If it calculated the casual or mains, trust me the win rate and damage/death ratio would be off the charts. Akali had 40% wr and got nerfed at one point. Stats don’t matter, it’s gameplay

Her winrates already represents her mains and they are far from off the chart. You have no basis to say her stats are in any way off the charts.

Akali was nerfed beause she is a piss poor designed champion who riot cannot balance. Also, her stats were never reliable since her winrate was artificially low from an overly inflated winrate and from being a relatively new champion.

I listed why anivia is also a piss poor overtuned champion. Name me a champion that has EVERYTHING in the entire game, Free GA, Huge amount of slow, low CD stun, HUGE Damage, Gap Block, Wave Control, 2 second wave clear, decently tanky stats, scales really well, nonexistent mana after 2 items, can 1 shot anyone without MR or a squishy....

None of the things you listed make a champion overturned. League’s meta is defined by mobility, reliable cc, and reliable ranged damage. Anivia has none of those. She has aoe and waveclear and an unreliable cc but those don’t go far enough to make up for her lack of mobility or reliable damage/cc.

That is why her stats are objectively not overpowered. 51-52% winrate on anivia mains is hardly impressive. Neither is a 3-4% pick rate and 1-2% banrate. You simply cannot dismiss those stats no matter how much you want to.

League is NOT dependent on mobility, cc, ranged. I can carry just as hard with vlad (no cc and no mobility), as with neeko( cc and w speed). League is purely dependent on carry potential. Champions that are weak in that aspect can get fed but can’t carry games. What you listed is proving that anivia is a “hard” skullcap champion, which I can get under. If you are skilled and play her for 50 games, that unreliable turns into a relative reliable source and massive damage. Stats don’t mean everything, in fact for the most part they mean nothing. It’s heavily inflated by multiple factors. Watching gameplay is what truly shines the truth behind the overtuning of Anivias kit.

The stats aren’t for people who play her for 50 games. The only people who play anivia in ranked are her mains and even then they can’t bring her winrate up much. No overpowered champion will ever have a 51-52% winrate with low pick and ban rates. That simply does not happen.

Also, the meta revolves around mobility and reliable cc/damage. Carrying potential doesn’t mean shit if no one can ever hit that potential. Mobile champions simply dance around anivia and outperform her too often. Her stats wouldn’t be so objectively mediocre if she was overpowered. The objective stats are simply more accurate than your subjective eye test.

Well I am an anivia player (I am not a Main like the good Froggen, but to stay) but good Anivia is a champion who depends a lot on his team, He is a relatively weak magician, because although he can fuck online in team fight, he needs a lot to cover her. I tell you as a player it is worth more with anivia to be more a support style for the team giving sustained damage with the last one. Since she is not a carry because if the other team you focusea you are dead, since it is extremely paper and even if you have the passive is not enough to save you. How it is now is fine is a perfect level where it is neither strong nor weak. it's just a matter of knowing how to play against it.

She does act like a support stunning and being annoying. But that doesn’t help the fact that her basic combo 1 shots EVERY adc and squishy

Sebastit7d1 votes

Except that it doesn't. And even if it did, it's extremely easy to dodge.

ParamountLOL1 votes

Its very easy to dodge R W then Q E the one way you're walking towards. I played vlad and it 1 shot me when i had 2500 hp and a MR flex? I was equal in cs equal in scaling but yeah its cool

You must not be building properly then, simple as that, if you expect her not to chunk you hard if you're not building resistances, then that's your fault. Also if you're playing Vlad then even more of your fault as Vlad has one of the hardest to punish kits in the game.
