Why kill cho and not nerf Master Yi?

Just recently played a ranked game in LoL as Cho'Gath (first game as him since nerf) and was very disappointed that his e was nerfed. Instead of the active it is now, why not make it like the jinx q (machine gun/rocket (25 mana/ shot)). This would still allow for the ability to be nerfed but not as hard as it is now.. Also in this game I built a lot of health and also stacked Cho passive alot, when late game came, I found myself at a comfortable 6075 hp bar. Being the tank I am the next team fight I charged in head first, activated gargoyle's stoneplate putting me at about 12k hp. To my disappointment, I found myself stuck in a fight with a Mister Free (Master Yi).. about 10 seconds later I had a grey screen and he was still full health. Now I know that the game is trying to be fair with the recent tank meta and is buffing the other champs to tone it down but there is no way that a Yi should be able to just shred the tank in 5-10 seconds of a fight..

Just some food for the thought!

Interesting. His "massive nerf" gave him a 5% win rate increase on the patch for top lane... and an 8% win rate increase in the jungle.... Most curious....

First: in almost all situations, the cho changes are a massive buff. In lane trades you're getting an extra (at least) 12% max health damage assuming 3 autos (a reasonable assumption for a trade, you'd have to go over this number for the changes to swing in pre-changes Cho's favor) with no extra mana cost over his pre-changes form. In teamfights the slow and extra damage on his E is huge. Once it's maxed the cooldown is short enough that you can chain-cast it to have all your autos be empowered, and its mana cost is low enough to permit this in fights. You know what the only thing that actually is nerfed is? Cho can no longer just push the wave passively and actually has to expend mana to do so, which is a totally fair trade-off for the massive power boost he received. Oh, and lets not forget that if Cho is ever forced to back off the wave a bit his Q now costs 30 less mana which is huge.

Second: like many skirmishers, Yi is a tank-killer. He also usually builds lifesteal and has a massive built-in AS steroid, and you were tank Cho. Even with the recent two sets of Cho changes boosting its effectiveness tank Cho still doesn't do immense amounts of damage, so of course you weren't going to be able to beat him lifestealing off of you with just your damage. And, as an autoattacker, Yi is barely inconvenienced by your silence. So yes, Yi is going to beat you, and with his high attack-speed, probable blade of the ruined king, and built-in true damage, he's also going to shred through your healthbar pretty quickly.

Edit: Ah, found the game in question. His first two items were bloodrazor and BorK, both of which are tankshredder items. He also had a phantom dancer to reduce your incoming damage. Yeah, he was gonna win, and you should consider yourself lucky you lasted as long as you did.

first game as him since nerf

i dont think you understand the point of the changes.

but ill humor you. what in the fuck has been nerfed in chogath kit by adding a slow and stack scaling max % health damage to the ability?

the cooldown goes down to 3 seconds too, which means it has for all intents and purposes no downtime either and is nonstop available like his old toggled version.

i agree that cho e was actually a nerf. you would think the % health ratio on it and auto reset would be great, but its just another thing to drain chos mana. honestly i'd prefer to have old cho e back because it was free push. now i cant build attack speed cho in the jungle to wave clear faster. #nottrolling. these people who are saying it was a buff don't actually play cho. he has like no mana unless you buy item 3027 , and now he has even less because of the e change

What is the problem with Yi seriously ...

the e change was a net gain for him, idk what you on about edit: and master yi should kill ANYONE in 5 full seconds of combat, thats like 14 autos

I hope you're joking. His new E is a million times better now than it was before.
