What is Irelia counterplay?

Dodging the stun and going on the counter attack is the best advice I have against her.

Tank Teemo with Grasp of the undying, extremely mobile champions, champions who can attempt to out damage her by force or by skills (trynamere is kinda both). Annie with Thornmail and maxed fire shield.

If Irelia misses her E, she can't engage on you with her Q unless she's willing to fully commit without a reset/finisher or if there's a low minion ready to jump to. Give your minions that are low on HP a wide berth, and poke her while she's stacking up her passive to discourage an all-in. Her ability to CS under tower is quite good, but her waveclear isn't the best, so instead try to keep the waves even or pull it to your side of the map so she has nowhere to run if she oversteps.

Try to pull her into jungle skirmishes instead of trying to 1v1 her. If your jungler comes to your side of the map to take scuttle, help them get it. If Irelia follows, she has no escape. Pretend you're dumb and go wandering into the river. If she chases, she's much easier to fight without minions around. If she doesn't, you can go gank mid or come back to fight her at an awkward angle where she can't just Q a minion to engage on you.

Laning versus her is easy. I mean her team fight, she's nigh unkillable late game it feels since she just heals any damage she takes back, and the only argument is the same with any other champ "just cc them". In lane she gets shut down fairly easily in most matchups early but has this instant powerspike where she just starts to snowball from there. You could be decimating her in lane and then she gets a few component items and it just feels like all is lost since she just ults you if she misses stun and gets her q resets.
