Okay, here's some background. I just recently started playing ranked, and I'm not the best, so im in iron. but i keep getting placed in games with gold or silver, and losing. Why does this keep happening and will this eventually stop?

Can you show me something that they've fixed? And I do not care where they are and what they do I choose to play this game, they have to do everything for their players to make them comfortable.

Well, they did before, like way before but this is technical not game balancing so we should be happy with that atleast.

y tho lol3 votesRiot's ranking system is kinda fucked up now - every fresh account made this year will be placed in Iron IV despite their mmr don't worry, if you're playing with golds and silvers that means your MMR is probably silver so you'll climb eventually
lilpokfluf2 votesI've been wondering the same thing, I've seen iron 4 players in my games where everyone is averaging silver 1/gold 4.
I figure their MMR is high but then I check their ranked games played and they've played 1 or 2 ranked games. It was so bad once that the top laner on my team stopped attacking their opponent laner after killing them 3 times early game and started giving them advice on how to cs.

Wrong, it's because despite the fact players start out at Iron 4 now Riot still starts them with MMR equal to about Silver 3.
LightIsMyPath1 votesYou have a high mmr for your rank or they have a low mmr for theirs. Possibly both. Add in the changes who pretty much fuck the whole ladder and you get this. The more you loose the more your mmr goes down so you should soon face equal rank players. Hold on. :)

You can't know that. The actual mmr is secret, our best bet is opgg and even that could be really skewed. Once it told me I had low mmr and was risking demotion while I was gaining 24 LP and loosing 16 (in fact I climbed 2 ranks in a week.. So it was obviously VERY wrong). Also you have to consider that what counts is the total mmr of the team. If you are gold mmr but your plat mmr teammate is doing some duo with their bronze mmr friend you're sol..

Friend, you do not waste your time on this game, it makes no sense. Just try some other game and you'll know what I'm talking about.
