Honestly, it's impossible to sum up the balance flaw but, generally speaking, there are two main problems:

  1. Riot's goal is profit which is why they neglect the "Fun" aspect of the game.
  2. Because they have been neglecting the real balance issues for so long and just placebo nerfing and buffing they don't even know where to start:

Theorie on how to actually balance the game: Obviously, this is just a theory (By a 17-year-old with little game-design experience (in contrast to the whopping 200+ years of experience)).

IMO the best way to balance the game right now (like a step one and take it from there) would be to make class counters; Assassins counter ADCs and get countered by tanks, ADCs counter tanks but have a skill matchup into bruiser, etc. Hereby all classes are useful. Yes, we would have another tank meta for a short while but taking it from here you can start balancing the game around the solo lanes.

Step two would be to tone down all the damage in the game especially tanks.

And now you assign the Roles: Tanks and bruisers top, Bruisers and Mages Jungle, Mages and Assassins mid, Adc and support bot. This also means range cheese in top and bruisers in bot would no longer be viable. And while some will complain about diversity, I believe that with the 150 champs available** this scenario is much healthier for the game**. In this case, the** META would be the focus of the balance-team** to make competitive more fun to watch and play without impacting Solo-Q too much, because right now even the Pros are complaining and Riot's solution of Placebo nerfs and random balancing is not working (obviously). "Sometimes you have to think outside of the box!"

Of course, 100 brains are better than one, so please write any loopholes, mistakes or your general opinion down below.

I dislike this. What stops me from being top and a friend being support and us swapping lanes? How does limiting the strategic options add more strategy to the game? Who really wants a forced meta? When is it fun to lose instantly because your hard countered in lobby? All classes ARE useful.

They already are now.

So no off-meta picks, no lane swaps, and champions like Jayce, Pyke or Sej might as well be removed. No, this won't be more fun or healthy. It will just kill around 20-30 champions, make 20-30 champions op and limit options quite a lot

At this point I should have probably said "ah its just one of those" to myself and stopped typing. Ranged toplane is as much "cheese" as picking Darius vs melee or Lucian mid vs skillshot mages.

Meta should NEVER be the focus of balence unless its extremely unhealthy for the game, like junglers sharing exp with toplaners off first 1-2 camps back in s4-s5(?), laneswapping botlane to top(don't remember when it happened, basically adc+sup went top to freefarm against enemy toplaner while their toplaner went bot against enemy duo bot, to prevent 2v2 early fights if your duobot is weaker early)or funneling.

i read something about toning down dmg, so, just buff base hp. jesus man if everyone is gonna just moan about balance and the dmg monster just give every champion +100hp at lvl1 and take it from there. "but mah botrk and liandries and hp scalings" stfu at least the resistances will be useful with more hp for people to have to chew through. all other solutions are half measures. morello would have done this already, ya'll woulda bitched about it too.
