I just got promoted to silver V, and i wanted to know if im faster/lower than the average.

I started playing in season 1 but didn't play ranked until season 3. I haven't been in bronze before, but I did have two years of practice before playing ranked.

we have the same story :)

played casually from even before season 1. started to play ranked in season 3 and got placed in silver 1 in my first placements.

Season 3 I got silver as part of a ranked 3s team. Season 4 I got silver on my own, and Season 5 I placed into gold 5.

Definitely a similar early story, all made better by the fact that we both like Garen. =)

i hit level 30 after ~400bot matches. then did another ~150 FWOTD bot games, maybe 60 feedings in normals.

then after i got 16 champs, (ones that i wanted) and 4 complete rune pages one per role. i did my placements and got silver 4 despite going 2-8.

riot really wanted me to rank up.

i started playing about half way through season 5, and i did ranked as soon as i hit 30(thought i was ready and the best), did my placements and got placed silver 5.

My first account, first year of ranked. I was placed directly in Silver 4, and skipped a division to Silver 2.

For the seasons I've finished my placement games, I've been placed somewhere in gold.

i got silver 5 in season 5 right at the end, then got placed bronze 4 this season and im already silver 2

instantly when i hit level 30 i played my 10 placements and got placed in silver 5, got carried i guess i was playing rammus support with machete and what not.

Started playing near late season 3 and never finished placements but had 2 losses and was probably going to be bronze. Went to bronze in season 4, season 5 , and season 6 but very recently hit silver. When I saw the message that I was promoted to silver 5 after a very hard game, I legit cried tears of joy.

Last season was my first promos and I was put into silver 3. This season I got into silver 4 and havent played ranked any because solo players get nowhere.

I got from Bronze 3 to Gold 5 this season as a pure solo player.

You can get anywhere if you put enough effort into it.

Yes but not everyone has 2+ hours a day to play a video game. I also don't like that I always get matched against 3 mans or 4 mans.

I don't have 2+ hours a day. I'm in college and this past month I've only been putting an average of about 1 ranked game a day.

Either way, it was much easier than climbing to Gold last season.

For context, I'd started playing the game in Pre-Season 3 and I didn't bother playing ranked until mid Season 5.

I was dropped in Silver 3 after my placement matches last season, skipped Silver 2 and hit Gold 4 within 40 games.

I'd played around a bit too much during my placement matches since I was essentially a Platinum player in Silver. I'd play champions I had little experience with but wanted to play just because, so that slowed me down a bit climbing.
